Horseback Rides Telluride's most famous visitor rode into town on June 24th, 1889. He walked into the San Miguel Valley Bank and, for the first time in his career, made an unauthorized withdrawal of over $24,000. His name was George LeRoy Parker, but he was better known as Butch Cassidy. Live the spirit of the old West and explore Telluride's high country on a "Ride with Roudy", our best and most colorful local outfitter. As Roudy himself says, "We have gentle horses for gentle people, and fast horses for fast people. And for people who don't like to ride, horses that don't like to be rode." Cowboy Breakfast Horseback Rides Roudy likes to hit the trail early, when the sun peeks over the mountains and lights up the meadow, when the birds just start to greet the day, and the breath of the beautiful horses still steams from their noses. Then sit back for a traditional cowboy breakfast, perhaps a glimpse of the wild elk herd, and a guaranteed tall tale of life on the range, courtesy of Roudy and his wranglers. |
